Teacher instruction is most effective when students are actively engaged with the curriculum. Often, however, misbehavior interrupts student engaged time in the classroom. This webinar will focus on specific strategies for managing instruction and behavior to improve the amount of time that students are engaged with curriculum. Special attention will be given to those strategies that provide the best probability of facilitating student success.
Terrance M. Scott is a Professor and Distinguished University Scholar in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Louisville. As a former counselor and teacher of students with seriously challenging behaviors, his research interests focus on school-wide prevention systems, the role of instructional variables in managing student behavior, and functional behavior assessment intervention.
