Audio/Visual Equipment Arrangements
Please keep in mind that you will be responsible for your own audio visual equipment at this year’s conference. A screen, an A/V cart (which is a stand for your laptop and LCD projector and contains a power strip) and a microphone will be available in each room, but you will need to provide any additional audio visual equipment or contact the hotel directly to make arrangements. Also, should you want to have handouts for your session, you will need to bring them with you or make them on-site at your own expense. You can contact Darwin MacDonald, the Marriott’s Director of Event Technology, at 617-937-5684 or at firstname.lastname@example.org to make any necessary arrangements
Board Certified Behavior Analyst ® Credits
If you are interested in seeking BCBA credits for your session and have not already submitted your application, you may do so by contacting Jennifer Zarcone. You should have received a BCBA application form late last fall. If you need another copy, please download it here. We encourage you to consider this option as these CEUs will be important to many potential attendees and offering them will allow our organization to continue to attract new members and grow
Hotel Reservation Deadline Approaching
Please be sure that you make your hotel room reservation as soon as possible. There is a room block established at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, 110 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02116 for the APBS conference. A conference rate of $195 for single/double occupancy has been secured for our group, but this rate is only good through February 13, 2007. You can make your reservation by calling 800-266-9432. To ensure that you receive the conference rate, please tell the hotel you will be attending the Positive Behavior Support Conference.
Air and Ground Transportation Update
Please use your preferred airline when making your reservations, as APBS was not able to negotiate a special rate with an airline this year.
Additionally, the hotel does not provide a shuttle service to the airport. Your ground transportation options are taxi ride (~$30 one way) or Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (the Metro) (~$3.50-$5 one way). For more information on the Metro, please visit www.mbta.com.
