Call for PBIS Videos!
Does your school create homegrown videos to support your SW-PBIS initiative? If so, please consider submitting your video to the 3rd Annual PBIS Film Festival to be held at the APBS Conference this March in Atlanta. Videos are judged in a number of categories, including "Best Picture", "Best Introduction to PBIS", "Best Teaching Expectations", and "Best Staff Buy In". Previous winners of the coveted "Best Picture" award are "Garbagio" from Shawnee Mission School District in Kansas, and "Respectful, Responsible, and Ready: Stand Up" from Madison School District in Idaho. Other winners and homegrown PBIS Videos can be seen at www.PBISVideos.com.
If you would like to enter or have questions, please email Michael Kennedy at: MKennedy@Virginia.edu, or call at 434-924-0827 to receive an official entry & permission form. The submission process is easy, you can either email a link (if it is already online), or mail a DVD to Michael. You do not need to attend the conference to participate, but it is encouraged! There are no monetary prizes for participating or winning (it's all for fun, learning, and sharing). However, participants and winners are given certificates of recognition.
This year's guest judge is Dan Habib, Director of "Including Samuel", so get those videos in, and we look forward to sharing your work in Atlanta!
